Matcha Magnétique

It's one of the most realistic matcha scent I have smelled. It's soft, it's cozy, it can calm your mind within minutes. The only problem is it's too mild. You spray it 30 times, still won't get the smell after 20 minutes. And no, its not olfactory fatigue. I understand Kanzan perfumes are not 'beast mode', and it's intentional. But I think the 'intention' needs to be changed a bit. 1500 rs for 50 ml, they are not on the cheaper side. They don't have to be beast mode, but at least they need to have some 'mode'. I love this smell so much that I spray this before going to bed. But I never think of going out spraying this because no one will smell this unless he/she is trying to kiss me on the neck or wrist, that too within 30 minutes of application. All of the fragrances are soooo amazingly unique, but their projection and longevity are disappointing.

It's something exquisite, freshness of forrest, unique notes make it hard to forget. Just lacks in projection but a very good morning scent for sure.

Along with Tigers In Paris, this is the only other perfume that I really liked.
This is more of a fresh perfume mainly for women.

Raindrops on fresh-cut grass, lemon trees swaying in the wind, Luxury stone house with well-maintained bamboos in the facade. The faint suggestion of tannins. Self-possessed, nonchalant and androgynous. My lover's aftershave.

Green nothing. I don't like subtle fragrances that dissolve into nothing. I think instead of them I could simply stay clean, apply deodrant and body butter. Fragrance for me has to have 4hours of minimum longevity with decent projection. This is nothing. You can spray it all you can. You can bathe in this and this will still be nothing. Why wear nothing? Obviously didn't buy this bottle. Sampled this from their discovery set. Out of which just found 1 fragrance full bottle worthy. Everything else is mid.

I smell the tang, the herbs, tea and its for mondays (start afresh but slow and steady).

The opening is a burst of steamed yuzu peel bright but not detergent like citrus. It transitions so smoothly into that earthy matcha and dewy grass. It's my go to for hot summer days

This is the most realistic matcha note I've ever found in Indian perfumery. It captures that specific dry, vegetal bitterness of the powder perfectly. I do wish it lasted longer.

I love how the yuzu stays present even as the grass notes come forward. It’s vibrant and sophisticated without being a typical 'cologne' smell

The scent is beautiful, quite realistic grass and tea, but the longevity is a struggle for me. It becomes a faint skin scent within 3 hours. I wish the cedarwood base was a bit stronger

I wanted to love this, but I just smell like I’ve been doing yard work all day. There is zero sweetness or warmth here; it’s just bitter green leaves and wet dirt. Not for me

It’s a bit too 'salad-like' for me in the first ten minutes. The cut grass note is extremely dominant. Once the yuzu fades, it’s a bit one note on my skin

You guys really captured the 'Bamboo Sap' note. It adds a watery, green crispness that keeps the matcha from feeling too dusty. Stunning work

It doesn't scream. It’s a skin scent that makes you feel refined. The the dry down is soooo clean and subtle

Finally, a matcha that isn’t a latte. This is pure, bitter, crushed green leaves and wet stones. It feels incredibly atmospheric, like standing in a tea garden right after the rain

OMG! I’ve tried every green tea scent on the market, from Le Labo to Margiela. This is the only one that actually captures the umami of ceremonial grade matcha without smelling like a cleaning product. Pure magic

I'm obsessed with the scent, really fresh citrus opening with yuzu and an almost floral neroli. after a few minutes i could only really smell the cut grass with some green tea notes (though i would love a stronger punch of green tea). sadly it doesn't last as long on my skin :((. the dry down is okay okay with the white musk. honestly the longevity is the only drawback. still a really good fragrance but resprays are kinda necessary if you want the smell to last the day.

I took a massive gamble blind-buying a full bottle based on the notes alone, and I couldn't be happier. The transition from the bright, zesty citrus to the earthy matcha and smooth cedarwood is flawless. House of Kanzan has a lifelong customer in me
