The smell is good, dark, and perfect for the evenings. The smell does last long and would definitely recommend!

i like the sample. then only i ordered it. but sample version is stronger but 100ml i got is smell is weak. may be i need to macerate it

I feel like the evolution of smell is good but the opening is what brings fame to this fragrance

Haven’t yet tried this, but the Sherlock in me loved that you named the fragrance as a tribute to the iconic detective’s iconic address.

I’d earlier bought Murasaki Bookshop for my husband who loved it, but more than that , our son swiped it off his father when we visited him!
Now he wants the 221B!

It's a unique blend which does gives you picture of Shelocks vibes--or at least how his study would. I find it best to be pair with Murasaki Bookshop gives a dark, mysterious aura, which as a screenwriter works best for me.

It is beautiful perfume. One of the finest I have used. It remains withyou for a very long time.
Plan to buy a few more.

I have tested a loooooot of frags over the last few years - designers, niche, ME. This house and especially this fragrance sits between all these.

This is a beautiful scent by itself with niche like quality but still has mass pleasing attributes. This is a great interpretation of saffron, it's extremely gentle reflection of any leather or oudy notes.

The only downside to this is that the longevity isn't the best that you would find. It lasts about 2-3 hours as a skin scent and about 6 hours on clothes with a very intimate sillage. Master perfume but if they could try and tweak this to last longer it would absolutely smash it. But £8-10 for 50ml is absolutely class

A really lovely spicy-woody blend. It’s less "in-your-face" than other tobacco scents, making it great for daily wear.

Very strong tobacco smell. Could be overwhelming for non smokers

Simply wonderful. Long lasting and the woody smoky vibes that it leaves around are fantastic. I rate this higher than Matcha Magnetique which I have been using frequently

Loved the fragrance but please work on the diffuser and longevity of the aroma, it says eau de parfum but doesn't feel like the same in terms of longevity and projection.

A bit too "dusty" smelling for my liking; I prefer something with a bit more floral or citrus lift in the opening.

The longevity on my skin was quite disappointing; it lacks the persistent punch of other leather-based scents I own.

An incredible take on the "detective's study" aesthetic. Much more approachable than Amouage Interlude Man, yet carries that same dark, resinous soul.

As soon as I saw 221B I knew I had to buy it. And it's brilliant!!

I also really liked the samples of Poets of Kyoto! Overall, loved ALL the perfumes that I've seen. I'll definitely be buying more :)

The brand does two oud prominent scents, this and Paramour. While Paramour is a unisex gourmand oud, this is drier, more herbaceous oud; a little sweet but still masculine leaning. I still feel like it lacks a woody element which would have grounded the scent. This feels like a watered down version of a really nice perfume.

Great composition. It’s more understated than the heavy hitters from Maison Francis Kurkdjian, which I actually appreciate for office settings.

Perfectly captures the atmosphere of an old library. It has that refined, woody depth I usually hunt for in Frédéric Malle’s Monsieur.

Very well-blended, though it’s a bit more "skin-close" than some of my louder oud perfumes.

A bit too much emphasis on the "old wood" aspect for me; I missed the freshness I find in my usual daily drivers.

A deeply nostalgic scent. It evokes that same polished wood vibe found in Proust Fragrances' Musky Oud. Absolutely stunning.

The patchouli dry down is exceptional. It’s definitely for fans of dense, like Hennessey Smoke

Finally, an Indian house nailing the spicy-leathery profile.
