Simple, clear poems about the beauty of life’s small moments.

Eau de Parfum | 50 mL | 1.69 fl Oz

Smells like
Think of this fragrance as sitting somewhere between Diptyque’s Eau de Lierre, with its green, dewy freshness, and Bvlgari’s Eau Parfumée au Thé Vert, with its gentle tea serenity—while Poets of Kyoto leans more contemplative and airy. It blends cool green tea, soft citrus, and whispering herbs, like a quiet morning in a Kyoto garden after the rain. It gives off a sense of calm clarity—fresh, meditative, and effortlessly graceful, like verses drifting on a breeze.
Feels like
Wearing this feels like a quiet walk through a Kyoto garden. Tea garden, soft citrus, and gentle herbs wrap around you like morning air. It’s fresh, clear, and thoughtful—like a slow breath or a drifting poem. Calm and graceful, it stays close, like peace on your skin.
The Story
They didn’t seek fame or followers, nor did they care for the rush of city life. Instead, they lived in a serene village surrounded by bamboo groves and still ponds, where time seemed to slow down. Their days began with the soft light of dawn, as they gathered by the water, writing simple, clear poems about the beauty of life’s small moments. The sway of a tree branch, the ripple of a pebble dropped in a pond, the scent of rain—these were the things they captured in their words.

  1. Punit

    I had high hopes for it.
    First I applied all I can smell was tea and disappointed.

    But the twist.

    After sometime bamboo and oakmoss kicked and literally calmed me down.

    You have to be patient with these perfumes. They are not boasting, they take you on a journey of self reflection

  2. Subhamita

    Very interesting scent from the samples of Chapter II. Citrusy yet sweet and floral with base of tea, which is subtle but refreshing. Too mild to be a daily wear in summer , but perfect for a brunch party or a cozy gathering.

  3. Sumit

    I tested all 10 perfumes from the house of Kanzan. And I can say 221b ,Poets of Kyoto , Hazy perfection, Tahiti waves are my favourites.
    221B -> smooth,indian spices
    Poets of Kyoto , Hazy Perfection-> very soothing and fresh
