Saffron heat, Silk shadows
Eau de Parfum | 50 mL | 1.69 fl Oz
Smells like
Think of this fragrance as sitting somewhere between Matière Première’s Crystal Saffron, with its bright, translucent take on saffron, and Maison Crivelli’s Santal Volcanique, with its textured warmth and quiet intensity—while Tigers in Paris leans more magnetic and mysterious. It opens with a glint of saffron and pink pepper, sharp yet golden, before softening into orris and geranium layered over rich labdanum. In the drydown, oud, sandalwood, and tobacco rise like smoke in slow motion. The result is sharp but sensual—like danger dressed in silk, stepping into the night with a half-smile and something to hide.
Feels like
Wearing Tigers in Paris feels like strutting through quiet streets with wild confidence—saffron heat, silk shadows, and untamed charm wrapped in elegance. Bold, magnetic, and just a little dangerous.
The Story
It shouldn’t make sense— but it does. A tiger walking the quiet streets of Paris at dawn. The cafés still closed, the sky blushing softly, and not a soul daring to stop him. Saffron heat clings to his fur, velvet paws tapping over cobblestones like secrets being kept. There’s something wild in this elegance. Something untamed behind the polished windows and perfect balconies. The scent trails behind—spiced, smoky, golden—like a mystery dressed in silk. Tigers in Paris isn’t here to follow rules. It’s bold, sharp, smooth all at once. Think red velvet in a jazz club. A gaze held too long across a room. It’s a story you can’t quite explain.
But somehow, you remember every detail. And you smell like it.
Strange. Beautiful. Unforgettable.

The Name

When to Wear
Best worn on evening dates, art shows, rooftop bars, or bold solo days—when you want to feel fearless, stylish, and unforgettable.

I agree with Kabir, Tigers and Murasaki could well hunt in pairs. Again the charred oud, saffron, sandalwood and pepper stand out. It takes one back to known richness of a Indian bouquet– smells of home, sweets and a hint of smoke. The sillage remains an issue. House of Kanzan certainly has a quirky, novel and an exotic nose. Just work on the longevity and viola, you have a collection that can take on the best brands stand up and take notice.

It was in the sampler pack I got and ordered a full bottle now!
The smell stands out from the first smell, and it reminds me of this particular clay modelling kit I had in my childhood,
I would describe the smell as the colour Orange, (not the fruit) mixed with a bit of red.
You can smell the saffron and hints of sandalwood.

If Murasaki Bookshop had an alter ego it would be Tigers in Paris. If Zorba the Greek had a favorite perfume, it could be this.
